QUALIFICATION NVBLQ or recognised equivalent

RNLI beach lifeguards need an accepted beach or surf lifeguard qualification.

FITNESS Meet the RNLI physical standards

Recruitment includes timed pool swimming, underwater swimming and a beach run.

AGE 16+ and school-leaving age

Applicants under 18 also require parent or guardian permission.

HEALTH Health and eyesight assessment

Applicants are assessed to ensure they can safely perform the role.
